Illustration Friday: Asleep

No time for IF this week, but here is an entry  from the sketchbook that sort of fit this week's prompt "Asleep"...

IF: Soaked

I've been wanting to draw mermaids for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it, so this weeks Illustration Friday's theme "Soaked" was a great push to create one, because who would be more soaked than a mermaid?

Illustration Friday: Safari

My kids, as preschoolers, fell in love with Disney's "Lion King" movie, and actually changed their home spoken language from Swedish to English, as they spent countless hours with their friends, acting out their imaginary adventures of the "animals" and that was my inspiration for this week's Illustration Friday prompt "Safari"!

Illustration Friday: Beginner

A beginner garden doesn't have to be very big or expensive. Use "containers" found around the house, buy a couple of bags of planting soil, ....and even plant straight into the bag if you want...(just make sure to make drainage holes for either), a few plants or seeds, such as herbs and "voilà!"

IF: Lesson

This is actually an older illustration which is part of a book I created years ago about the genetics which makes us all similar but also different. The book (never published) is an elaborated version of the original book that I created for my son's kinder garden class to help them understand why he wasn't able to run like them and needed to use a wheelchair sometimes.

I selected this illustration for Illustration Friday's theme "lesson" as it seem to fit well. But I plan on uploading the rest of the illustrations into the "portfolio" page, and who knows, maybe someday I will find someone who could help me write the book. :)

Illustration Friday: Bicycle

This week's theme reminds me of the good old days (before video games)... when getting a brand new bicycle wasn't only a big shiny present, but it also gave you the means to go farther, see more friends and places and explore!
